|The Girl's Still Got It
Start Date: March 22
Walk with Ruth as she travels from Moab to Bethlehem, certain of her calling, yet uncertain of her future. Hold Naomi’s hand and watch love put the pieces of her broken life back together. And hang out with Boaz, their kinsman-redeemer, who blesses both women and honors God, big time.
With best-selling author Liz Curtis Higgs by your side, you will get glimpses into the history, the culture, the geography, the laws and the customs of the day. Tarry in the corners of their ancient houses, listen to their conversations, and consider every word of every verse until you can say, "I see what God is trying to teach me through this rags-to-riches redemption story—he has a plan for my life."
Led by Patti Martin.
10 Ways to Be an Exceptional Parent in a Quick Fix World
Start Date: April 19
Raising kids is a difficult challenge and it requires a plan-without a plan, parents often default to what we call "Quick-Fix Parenting." Let's be honest: it's just a lot easier to try to solve the immediate problems rather than deal with the deeper and more important issues (that's what "Quick-Fix" parents do). Surviving each day is much easier than taking the time and energy to consider how your current parenting actions are impacting a child's future. Unfortunately, quick and easy isn't the same as good and effective. To be an exceptional parent, you need to be an intentional parent.
This study from veteran parents and best-selling authors, Doug and Cathy Fields helps you move from Quick-Fix Parenting to Intentional Parenting. The study workbook provides 10 doable actions that will impact the future of your children. You can get started implementing these ideas into your parenting and you will see immediate results in your child-no matter their age.
|Colossians Bible Study
Start Date: April 19
Have you ever wondered why it is so difficult to live a life of faith in the midst of a non-Christian culture? Sometimes being a follower of Jesus calls for us to stand against the tide of public opinion or popular trends. Beginning April 19, Pastor Bob shows us how the letter to the Colossians can help us learn how to develop a stable walk with God, think like a Christian, practice spiritual self-defense, live with focus, and learn to become a daily prayer warrior.
Led by Pastor Bob Martin.
If you plan to attend any of our classes, send us an e-mail.
Nursery provided. Worship Arts activities are also available on Wednesdays for kids and we have a Bible study just for high school and middle school students.
