Rock the Universe | Jan. 22-24, 2027

Rock the Universe is an unforgettable weekend of faith and fun. High school students are invited to join us for a Christian music festival and rides at Universal Studios Florida. We'll also take part in a service project at Second Harvest Food Bank. This trip is for active students in our ministry so students need to attend worship at least 4 times before this trip.

Cost

$200 includes 2 nights lodging, 3 meals, Rock the Universe ticket, gas. 

  • December 6: $100 Deposit due
  • January 3: $100 Final payment due

SCHEDULE

We'll meet Friday afternoon and head to Orlando where we'll stay at Forest Lake Academy, which is Serve Orlando's lodging hub.

Friday night, we'll get settled and worship together.

On Saturday morning, we'll volunteer in the Orlando area. After the service project, we'll head to Universal Studios for the Christian Music Festival and rides which begins at 4 PM.

On Sunday morning, we'll attend worship at St. Lukes UMC and head home in the early afternoon.

Packing list

  • Bible, notebook, pen
  • Money for meals. Dinner out on Friday in Orlando (sit down restaurant). Dinner and snacks at Universal (think $20+). Sunday’s lunch.
  • Snacks for the weekend. *Universal allows visitors to carry water bottles (maximum 2 liters) and small snacks! Bring backpack for this.
  • Sleeping bag or sheets and a blanket
  • Pillow
  • Bath towel
  • Shower shoes
  • Toiletries
  • Clothes for serving, the event, and church on Sunday
  • Warm clothes for Saturday afternoon/evening 
  • Student Min t-shirt 
  • Pajamas (it’s very cold in dorm rooms where we sleep)
  • Trash bag for wet towel and dirty clothes
  • Phone charger
